Resolution Number Fourteen:
Be it resolved, To move the General Bylaws revisions for their adoption. (See the Resolutions Section of the 2007 General Convention Delegate Manual)
MSC: Postponed until convention 2009, Sent to the General Bishop and a committee for further review.
Resolution Number One:
Article Ten: General Council, paragraph nine, page 36
Be it Resolved that, Article ten under General Council, paragraph nine, page 36, be changed to read, “The General Council and Ministry Directors shall be elected by the General Convention.”
Did not carry.
Resolution Number Two:
Article Fifteen: Discipline and Restoration, paragraph Ten, sub-paragraph “c,” Item Two, page 47
Be it Resolved, That the following be added “Once an appeal is filled with the office of the General Bishop the clamant has three (3) days to withdraw the appeal. When an appeal comes before the National Board of Appeals the appeal belongs to the board and can only be withdrawn by the majority vote of the board.”

Article Ten: General Council, paragraph 9, page 36
Be it Resolved, That the following be added, “For the term or two years.”

Resolution Number Four:
Article Fifteen: Discipline and Restoration, paragraph 6, page 46
Be it resolved, That Article Fifteen: Discipline and Restoration, paragraph 6, page 46 be amended to read: “And the assistant general bishop or an individual appointed by the General Bishop shall act as chairman.”

Resolution Number Five:
Article Twenty-Six: Publication Ministry, paragraph 1, subparagraph “d,” page 77
In order to continue to improve production of the Pentecostal Messenger and enhance this vital communication vehicle of the Pentecostal Church of God, Be it Resolved, That Article Twenty-Six: Publication Ministry, paragraph 1, subparagraph “d,” page 77 be amended to read, “The General Bishop shall be the editor-in-chief and there shall be an editorial staff responsible for the publication of the Pentecostal Messenger.”

Resolution Number Six:
Article Seventeen: Finance, paragraph 5, Item “c,” page 51
Be it Resolved, That Article Seventeen: Finance, paragraph 5, Item “c,” page 51 be amended to read, “Only current gratis ministers (as of 12/31/2007) will be covered with the $4,000 death benefit. (Payable to the beneficiary upon death.) Amend bylaws wherever applicable.
